Erato lives a conventional life. A life that had shown its hard self to her from very early on. Many would come to regard her as a cold wife and an indifferent mother, yet this really couldn’t be further from the truth. She feels incredibly grateful for her husband, Alexandros, who saved her from her violent and oppressive aunt, with whom she was living since the loss of her parents. This, however, didn’t make her feel any love – not for him, nor for their daughter, not even for herself.

There is a fire inside her, however, which smolders slow and steady, until, on meeting Pavlos, it fires up and comes ablaze. This is the man about to marry Alexandros’ sister and he awakens feelings that she has never known before. He makes her feel a sudden longing to take her life into her hands for the first time – something that may spread only pain and misfortune to those around her.

What will Erato do? Will she surrender herself to the power of love or will she continue to live a life full of fear, void of emotion and delight?
